Workshop Bootcamp

As many people have recently switched from film to the digital medium but have limited knowledge of computers (either Mac or PC), we are offering this short introduction to using your laptop computer with your digital camera. We will cover the following so you can get the most from your workshop experience:
• Startup and shutdown the computer.
• Create new folders and sub-folders.
• Copy/move files between folders.
• Find files using either the Mac Finder or Windows Explorer
• Start and close application programs.
• Switch between open windows on the desktop.
• Check for free/available disc space.
• Download your images from your media card.
• Different kind of image files – like raw, tiff and jpg.
• Basics of using Photoshop Elements for editing images and adjusting images.
• Burning images to a CD or jump drive/USB drive.
These topics will be covered in an afternoon session before the beginning of each of our Santa Fe based workshops.
