Eloquent Light is a photography workshop program that for over 20 years has offered exceptional educational photographic experiences based on the history, character and beauty of the American Southwest. We pride ourselves on offering real photographic education that helps participants become better photographers. Our mission is to help you find new and creative ways to see; help you find your own unique visual voice with a camera and ultimately how to integrate photography into your own life. Our process is a time-tested one. Our TRADITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS include instruction in the field while you are making photographs, feedback on your digital images in our studio/classroom and discussions about the subeties of the photographic process. We expect that you will be motivated and committed to attending all field and class sessions through the entire time of the workshop in order to receive the maximum benefits from your time with us.

It is our belief that photography workshops should be something more than just an opportunity to make great photographs. They should also be a place where people come together and exchange ideas and learn through the guidance of the instructor and assistants to "think" like a photographer. This includes a myriad of subjects such as helping the participant define goals for personal photographic projects and hone, clarify and refine their own unique photographic voice. Participants frequently help form the basis of this important conversation.

Eloquent Light offers two types of photographic experiences:

• TRADITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS that offer one-on-one instruction in the field and review of your images in our studio/classroom
  
  
• SHOOTING INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS that offers you a completely shooting only experience that provides informal instruction when requested but no formal image review.
  

We are fortunate after many years of conducting photography workshops in the Southwest to have developed personal and often unique relationships with places and people all over this incredible region. Participants in our traditional photography workshops and shooting intensive workshops are able to photograph fascinating people and inspiring places found only off the beaten path.

WE'RE EXPERTS!
Our Workshop Instructors and assistants are expert photographers. We love teaching and enjoy sharing our enthusiasm for the photographic image and process.

WE OFFER SMALL GROUP SIZES!
We keep our group sizes small. You will be in a small group of like minded photographers. Small groups mean that you will get the best out of a location and the most help from the instructor and assistant.

INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION!
Participants arrive with a wide variety of skill levels. We have the ability to assist folks who feel less confident about their abilities as well as photographers who are more experienced. We strongly believe that everyone is creative and capable.

SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT!
We encourage trust and respect between instructors and participants. We work hard to facilitate a fun and highly collaborative working environment. While we take photography VERY SERIOUSLY, we also laugh - A LOT! We believe that having a wonderful time is central to the creative process.

FRIENDLY FEEDBACK & ENCOURAGEMENT!
In our TRADITIONAL PHOTOGRAPY WORKSHOPS you are encouraged (begged actually!) to bring your own images with you for informal comment and assessment by the instructor. Your photographs will also be reviewed during the workshop week.
